Our rural cottage is located in a small hamlet at a place called La Chapelle attached to the commune of Mauzens and Miremont.
For the record, you should know that the Chapel is crossed by the 45th parallel north so you will be exactly equidistant from the North Pole and the Equator when you are at the foot of the chapel cross on the square.The chapel is a small, quiet green hamlet where life is good. It is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, rest and above all spend a pleasant holiday.
Our cottage is located in the golden triangle of the Perigord Noir between Sarlat, Périgueux and Bergerac.Ideally located you can make many visits.
My husband Fred and I have completely renovated this barn while keeping its character and the Périgord spirit.The cottage is in the farmyard adjoining our accommodation.If necessary, you can always come and ask us for information and as you can imagine we will also remain very discreet throughout your stay!!
Thus, on the ground floor you will have at your disposal:
- A beautiful living room with TV opening onto the private terrace and its fenced garden. Note that on the terrace you will have at your disposal a barbecue to enchant your evenings with also garden furniture.
- A dining room with the character of its traditional fireplace as a decorative element and its large rustic farmhouse table.
- A fully equipped kitchen to prepare good dishes for you: oven, microwave, induction hob with 4 burners, electric coffee maker, Senseo machine, toaster, kettle, double sink, combi fridge and freezer. A dishwasher and a washing machine are also provided.
- A large bathroom with double sink unit and walk-in shower. Hairdryer, ironing board and drying rack available.

A beautiful wooden staircase will take you upstairs where you will find:
- A first bedroom with a Queen size bed (160*200).
- A second larger bedroom with Queen size bed (160*200) and view of the terrace.
- A third bedroom called the dormitory with 1 bunk bed (90*200) and 2 separate beds 90*200 i.e. 4 beds.
- A bathroom adjoining the dormitory with walk-in shower and toilet.
- The pool will be shared with the owners.Note that the alarm will have to be deactivated and put back on after use by you.Children must always be accompanied by adults and remain under their full responsibility.

Shops and services are in the village of Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin-de-Reilhac 6 km from the house: bakery-pastry shop (opens at 7:30 am - closed on Mondays), tobacco press, butcher's shop, organic shop, ATM, pharmacy, doctors, and Carrefour contact supermarket (fuel 24 hours a day). Intermarché, Aldi, Lidl 15 minutes from the house Le Bugue.
Open-air markets: Tuesday and Saturday mornings in Le Bugue, Saturday mornings in Montignac-Lascaux and Sunday mornings in Rouffignac. Wednesday and Saturday mornings in Sarlat.
The house is an excellent base from which to discover Lascaux, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Les Eyzies capital of prehistory, Sarlat, the Jardins d'Eyrignac, etc.
